The Faculty of Electronics and Informatics of Vilnius University of Applied Sciences together with the International Business College Mitrovica (IBC-M) in Kosovo since 2022 on October 1, begins to conduct professional bachelor’s double degree studies.
May 30 – June 3 Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Informatics dr. Romanas Tumasonis, Vytautas Lauciūnas, Head of the Partnership and Projects Department, and Muhammad Sohail, a lecturer from the Faculty of Business Management, visited the International Business College Mitrovica in Kosovo due to the Erasmus + Staff Mobility Program. By the way, double degree studies (International Business study program) in Business Management Faculty of Vilnius University of Applied Sciences are already carried out by the International Business College Mitrovica in Kosovo and the Applied Sciences and Business School of the Seinajoki University in Finland.
During the meeting with Mirjana Krsmanovic Vlajic, Head of Administration and International Relations Coordinator residing on the North Campus of the College, it was discussed inter-institutional co-operation and other academic issues. Arjeta Mehmeti, Head of the College Student Service and Coordinator of the Career Center, openly shared her experience in organizing student internships. The delegation of Vilnius University of Applied Sciences also met with Petar Milić, Dardan Hajrizaj and Jeton Lakna, IT lecturers on the college’s South Campus, to discuss the course of international studies scheduled for the fall semester.
This autumn, the Faculty of Electronics and Informatics will start a professional bachelor’s double degree program, which will combine the Software Engineering study program (Vilnius University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Electronics and Informatics) and the Applied Information Technology study program (International Business College Mitrovica in Kosovo). When students graduate these studies, they will receive diploma, approved by both of partner higher education institutions.
