Learning Aim:

to prepare market-oriented computer specialists who are able to solve a range of tasks in computer hardware and computer network design, installation, maintenance and organization of production.
Acquired Skills:
graduates will be able to:

  • select hardware and software of computer systems;
  • design and upgrade computer networks;
  • select telecommunication equipment;
  • organize and perform installation of computer hardware and software;
  • select computer network administration devices and control them;
  • ensure information system data security and solve maintenance problems of effective functioning of hardware and software;
  • organize activities of a business enterprise.
 Learning Outcomes:

  • design computer (including object control) systems, computer networks;
  • install and debug hardware;
  • install and customize operating systems, application software as well as special software and organize user environment;
  • administrate and manage computer networks;
  • solve functioning problems of computer systems software;
  • diagnose and eliminate hardware breakdown;
  • evaluate business environment;
  • perform market research;
  • organize an enterprise (subdivision) activities;
  • communicate properly in writing and orally in Lithuanian and at least one foreign language;
  • be able to professionally formulate and justify arguments based on market conditions, social, scientific, ethical aspects;
  • be able to critically assess information, to master new technologies and study on his/her own;
  • use legal and standard documents, computer programs;
  • be able to work in a team.
Career Prospects:

  • designing and installation of computer hardware and software;
  • administration and maintenance of computers and their networks;
  • automation of technological processes management;
  • organization of a business enterprise (its department).
