ACADEMIC CALENDAR 2026–2027 – The Academic Calendar contains the most important dates related to the academic year and the study process.
ACADEMIC SCHEDULE – The Academic Schedule is a faculty-specific document prepared for each academic year and approved by the Dean of the Faculty. It specifies the periods for contact teaching weeks, practical training (educational, professional and final internships), examination sessions, and student holidays.
LECTURE, EXAMINATION AND ASSESSMENT TIMETABLES – Lecture, examination and assessment timetables are prepared for each semester and published on the Faculty’s website no later than one week before the beginning of the semester or the examination session. A student who is unable to attend an interim or final assessment due to illness or another valid reason must, within three working days of the scheduled assessment date, personally or through an authorised representative, inform the lecturer and/or the Head of the Faculty Study Department of the reason for the absence. Upon receiving supporting documentation, the student must submit it without delay.
ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING ACHIEVEMENTS – The procedures and principles for assessing learning achievements are established by the Description of the Procedure for the Assessment of Learning Achievements.
Student performance is assessed using a continuous assessment system. Interim assessments are mandatory. Their number depends on the scope of the course and the intended learning outcomes. Course assessment results are published within five working days, excluding the day of the assessment, but no later than the first working day after the end of the examination session.
ATTENDANCE – At the Faculty of Electronics and Informatics, students are required to attend at least 50% of the study sessions. Students who, without a valid reason, miss more study sessions than permitted under the attendance requirements approved by the Dean upon the recommendation of the Study Field Committee are not allowed to take the final assessment for the course. In such cases, no final grade is recorded, and the student receives an academic debt. This academic debt may only be cleared by repeating the course and paying the tuition fee for the corresponding study credits. The deadline for clearing the academic debt is postponed for one academic year.
ACADEMIC DEBTS – Students may retake academic debts amounting to no more than 15 ECTS credits. Each academic debt may be retaken once, upon payment of the prescribed fee. Academic debts may be cleared during the following semester according to the academic debt examination timetable. In the final semester of studies, academic debts must be cleared no later than two weeks after the start of the preparation of the final thesis (project), as specified in the academic schedule. The dates for academic debt examinations are published in a separate timetable available on the Faculty website. Students are required to register only for paid assessments (paid retakes or academic debt examinations) by attaching a copy of the payment receipt (PDF, JPG, photograph, etc.). Students who fail to clear their academic debts within the prescribed period are dismissed from the Vilniaus kolegija.
APPEALS – Students who disagree with their final course grade have the right to submit an appeal to the Dean of the Faculty within three working days from the publication of the final grade. The procedure for submitting appeals, establishing the Appeals Committee, examining appeals, and making decisions is governed by the College Appeals Regulations.
SCHOLARSHIPS – Starting from the second semester, students may be awarded a basic merit-based scholarship (1.5 BSI) if their semester academic performance (weighted grade average) is not lower than the minimum weighted average established for that semester. This threshold is agreed upon with the Faculty Student Representation and approved by the Dean’s order. The minimum weighted average is determined anew each semester. (BSI – Basic Social Benefit.) Students whose semester weighted grade average is 9.5 or higher, with no course grade lower than 9 (Excellent), are awarded an increased merit-based scholarship (3 BSI).
Students who actively contribute to the Faculty of Electronics and Informatics (EIF) community by participating in competitions, sports events, faculty or College events, representing the Faculty or the College, serving as members of the Student Representation or the Student Scientific Society, or acting as class representatives, may be awarded a one-time merit scholarship. Students experiencing financial hardship or other difficult life circumstances may apply for a one-time social assistance grant.
OTHER SOCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS – Social scholarships and targeted financial support are awarded and administered by the State Studies Foundation. Information is published on the websites of the State Studies Foundation, Vilniaus kolegija / Higher Education Institution, and the Faculty. Students must complete the application form and submit all required documents within the specified application period.
TUITION FEES – Students studying in state non-funded study places are responsible for paying their own tuition fees. The tuition fee must be paid within the first 30 days of each semester: Autumn semester – by 30 September; Spring semester – by 28 February. The payment must be transferred to the Vilniaus kolegija bank account specified on the payment notice. If the tuition fee is paid by another person, the payment reference must include the student’s full name and personal identification number. These payment conditions are stipulated in the signed Study Agreement. Upon receiving a justified written request submitted no later than the end of the first month of the current semester, the Dean of the Faculty may approve changes to or an extension of the tuition payment schedule. However, the full semester tuition fee must still be paid within the approved deadlines. If the tuition fee is not paid by the specified deadline, the student will be removed from the list of students, and information about the outstanding debt may be transferred to debt collection agencies.
ERASMUS+ Student Exchange Programme – The Erasmus+ Student Exchange Programme provides students with the opportunity to study at partner higher education institutions abroad.
LIBRARY – Students may use the library services by presenting their Lithuanian Student Card (LSP), an identity card, or another valid identification document. Students have access to the libraries of all faculties of Vilniaus kolegija / Higher Education Institution. Borrowed books must be handled with care and returned upon completion or termination of studies.

In accordance with the signed Study Agreement, students are required to use and regularly check their official Vilniaus kolegija student email account throughout the entire period of their studies.
STUDENT GROUP ELDERLY – Within three weeks of the beginning of the academic year, each student group must elect a group Representative, who will represent the interests of the group. The Group Elderly must provide their contact details to both the Student Representation and the Study Department.
